Alison began her legal career as an assistant public defender in Jacksonville, Florida, and then shifted her practice to civil legal aid. She has also led a team of attorneys and advocates at Disability Rights Florida, the state protection and advocacy organization. 

Previously, Alison worked as a mitigation specialist and taught both undergraduate and graduate students. She is a member of the Public Interest Law Section of the Florida Bar, a member of their disability workgroup, and she currently serves as treasurer of their executive council. Alison created and hosts the podcast “Trauma InJustice” with Chris Moser.  

Alison lives in Tallahassee, Florida.
