Jasmine Gebon, VP of Strategic Initiatives at BBIF, Inc., moved to Orlando from Florida’s Space Coast in 2003. She received both a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida (UCF).

From a young age, Jasmine was exposed to both the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurship brings. Her father had a small business and often had her work on special projects and tasks. She took a liking to process-oriented work and to the fact that successful outcomes could be garnered by creating and executing a plan. It’s no wonder then that Jasmine worked in the construction industry as a Project Manager before she transitioned to the non-profit sector and joined the team at BBIF in 2008.  

Passionate about the organization’s mission, Jasmine has worn several hats during her tenure at BBIF, including roles in project management, event planning, marketing, advocacy, and fundraising. Jasmine has successfully managed several US Dept. of the Treasury CDFI Fund certification and funding applications, most notably the 2014, 2017, and 2018 CDFI Fund Financial Assistance Grant Application and 2015 New Markets Tax Credit Application and Wells Fargo Diverse Community Capital (DCC) applications and municipal partner funding applications awards totaling over $30 million.

Her outstanding work ethic has not gone unnoticed. In 2011 Jasmine was a finalist for the Orlando Business Journal (OBJ) Women Who Mean Business ‘Up-and-Comer’ award and in 2012 Jasmine was named one of OBJ’s 40 under 40. Jasmine was also named an “Up-and-Comer” awardee at the 2018 ONYX Magazine Women on the Rise event. A savvy young professional who embodies the principles of leadership with integrity and a servant's heart, Jasmine was recently promoted to Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Her 14+ years of experience in the financial services industry serve as a strong foundation to deliver on her commitment to driving the needle of change for BIPOC communities throughout Florida.  

Jasmine is a member of the National Black MBA Association, National Urban League, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the Society of Human Resource Management.
